President Bola Tinubu will on Wednesday (today) leave Abuja and travel to Paris for a private visit.

Ajurin Ngelale, Presidential Spokesperson, issued this in a statement on Wednesday.

In addition, the statement disclosed that President Tinubu will return to the country in the first week of February.

“President Bola Tinubu departs Abuja for Paris, France, on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, for a private visit. He will return to the country in the first week of February 2024,” the statement said.

Since the president assumed office in May 2023, he has only visited France once; this will be his second visit.

After the severe effects of climate change, the energy crisis, and the COVID-19 pandemic, there was a review and signing of a New Global Financial Pact that places priority on supporting and investing in vulnerable countries, which the president joined other world leaders in Paris for in June 2023.
