Film students of the Pan-Atlantic University have announced that the School of Media and Communication will be hosting its inaugural an-Atlantic university Student Film Festival (PAUSFF).
“The Pan-Atlantic University Student Film Festival aims to celebrate the unique talent and creativity within our student body, providing a platform for aspiring filmmakers to showcase their skills and passion”.
The organizing body has given the students several expectations to look forward to in the festival including premieres of original student-produced films, engaging question and answer sessions with established filmmakers, masterclasses and workshops, networking opportunities with industry professionals, awards and recognitions and fellow film enthusiasts.
According to Ehizojie Ojesebholo, a faculty member and veteran filmmaker, "The Pan-Atlantic University Student Film Festival's maiden edition is a great opportunity for everyone to showcase their skills and talents in areas of Digital Filmmaking. As an Adjunct Faculty member of the School of Media and Communication, I am proud & bold to say that the next generation of celebrity filmmakers are about to be discovered".
The PAUSFF team urges students to support the event by signing up as volunteers to serve in various capacities. Volunteer opportunities are available in departments such as media, publicity, technical support, and protocol/logistics. An official date of the film festival has not been communicated to the student body at the moment.
