< Back STUDENTS GEAR UP FOR THE UPCOMING EXAMINATIONS Edidiong Antigha 26 Jan 2024 As the end of the semester gets closer, many PAU students have begun their preparations for the end of semester examinations. This upcoming examination will be the first one written by the current first years and one must wonder how they are dealing with the pressure. During an interview with some of the first years about that their thoughts of the exam reveals mixed results with some students expressing their anxiety and fear about how the exam would be, some other students were even excited and believed that their hard work would pay off and some other students held little to no fear and were confident that they would do well. “No one is ever a hundred percent confident, it’s the amount of work I put in that will determine my mark”, first year ISMS student, Njoku Osinakachukwu stated during his interview. Another first year, Adeya Omofolarin David, stated, “I don’t feel that anxious. I’ve written enough tests in this school, so I know what to expect from the examinations”. The atmosphere of the school has also changed as an air of concentration has come about as a response to the approaching exams, with many students using their break during school hours to study by heading to the library or forming study groups to go over what they had previously learned in class. As the weeks of exam get closer, the air of focus and determination surrounding the school will intensify as the students study harder to reach their goal. Previous Next
